Americano

1 oz Campari

.5 oz sweet vermouth

Soda water

Add Campari and vermoth over ice in a Collins glass.  Top with chilled soda water and stir.  Garnish with an orange wheel.

I like a little more sweet vermouth, this is Campari overload for me.  But I guess I’m a soft American.

Absinthe Frappe

1 oz Pernod

1 tsp simple syrup

Shake and strain into a highball glass.  Pack with cracked ice.

Much better with real absinthe than Pernod which is pretty syrupy.  A nice way to showcase absinthe.
